The workshop „Compact ZYNQ-7000 SoC for SW Designers“ concentrates on the software related main topics of the new ZYNQ-7000 All programmable System on a Chip (SoC) architecture. The central focus of this class is the software development Kit (SDK). Attending this class is suitable not only for the software but also for the hardware developer.
This workshop provides the required knowledge to the embedded software designer, to allow a successful setup of the embedded application. The attendee learns to take advantage of the XILINX development tool SDK and the underlying concepts necessary for the software development phase in a design cycle. All of this is focused on the processor system (PS). Its explanation and the description of its peripherals constitute another major topic of the course. Besides that, developing the software code while considering address management and interrupt handling is covered, too. This is followed by a discussion of the download and boot process of the software platform and the debugging of the C-code.
To build up even further knowledge, we recommend the 5 day PowerWorkshop „Expert ZYNQ-7000 SoC“. A hardware platform is created using the IP-Integrator of the Vivado tool suite, which is not a focus of this workshop, but the configuration of embedded software based on the Cortex-A9 target platform of the ZYNQ-7000 SoC family.
