Embedded Design with PetaLinux Tools
With PetaLinux, Xilinx offers an open source Linux operating system (OS) solution for ZYNQ families and FPGAs using the MicroBlaze core.
At the beginning, this workshop teaches fundamentals concerning usage of an embedded Linux OS.
PetaLinux offers a simpler form of the kernel configuration based on shell scripts, simpler methods, QEMU simulation, firmware Packing, templates and documentation. Great advantage of PetaLinux is the maintenance of open-source Linux-based systems in the Xilinx tool chain.
Also, it will make Linux more easy for beginners to configure the kernel to support the hardware peripherals quickly and efficiently develop the embedded system with user applications.
In addition, basics of binding hardware peripherals with their respective driver support is discussed.
Having participated at this workshop, you’re in a position to work with an embedded Linux system.
